Message from The Board of Directors
Founded with the aim of establishing a permanent financial legacy to benefit Airdrie and area, we at ADCF are proud of the important milestones we have achieved over the last few years. Our Foundation began in 2017 as an acorn, and has now grown to a seedling, which in future years will be a mighty tree bearing fruit for our community forever.
We raised almost $100,000.00 for endowments in fiscal 2018. This was an important milestone in that our Foundation began in 2017 as an acorn, and has now grown to a seedling, which in future years will be a mighty tree bearing fruit for our community forever.
In May 2018, the Foundation made grants of $5,000 to Community Links for their Programs to prevent Domestic Abuse, and $5000.00 to PMAST to support teen peer mediation and conflict resolution. We also facilitated over a million dollars in flow-through grants to the Airdrie Health Cooperative, via The City of Airdrie.
Many thanks to A.T.B. for their sponsorship of our fundraising Gala in May of 2018, and to the A.T.B. Cares program, which matched donations provided through A.T.B.
One of our main future goals is to raise awareness of the Foundation, and to raise $500,000.00 in five years so that more recipients can benefit from our endowment funds. Looking ahead, we will be announcing donations in April or May of 2019, and applications for grants are now being accepted.
The ADCF is a 100% volunteer run organization. The enclosed financial statement demonstrates how almost all of our revenue finds its way into our endowment funds.
